Storyteller Robert Fulghum ("All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten") has a new book coming out in January, and Fulghum Arts Group needed precision changes made to an existing "Expression Engine" site in a short timeframe. I haven't read the book, (available from Amazon), but I'm very intrigued.

Rebecca Lowell arrived on Maui nearly two decades ago, from her home in rural northern California. Not long after, with just $78 left,  she  checked into the Bungalow, an $11-a-night hostel in Wailuku, Maui’s county seat – and started to paint.

After a week she had enough paintings and hitchhiked across the island to Lahaina’s weekly art fair.

Today, after years of success in galleries across Maui, she has her own gallery – Rebecca Lowell Fine Art – on the beach walk at Ka’anapali Bay between Whaler’s Shopping Center and the Sheraton. There, she paints and offers her original paintings, giclees, prints and photographs – wide-ranging work from elegant giclees of candlelit plumeria and oils of world-renowned Pu’u keka’a   (“Black Rock”) on Ka’anapali Beach to popular abstracts featuring words and wisdom from around the world.

pipiphoto.com

Pipi is a New York based art photographer who wanted a new Flash website to show her recent work with Lomo cameras. Pipi wanted an uncluttered website with animated transitions and the ability to make changes to the content herself. This website uses Flash 9 (AS3) for the front end and an XML file which is used to control the content. NOTE: Some of the images on this site might not be appropriate for those who object to depictions of the unadorned human form.

James B Hatfield's business card says "Consulting Electromagnetics Engineer" and his lifelong fascination with photography is informed by a practical mathematical understanding of digital development and color theory. James' Giclée prints are big enough to fill a tall wall. The purpose of this website is to show what these prints look like when scaled in proportion to everyday objects. Really, these photos get printed big. ( ~ 62'' inches x 44'' approximately).

Design by PictureBand for Vertigo, a vertical-services company specializing in the industrial applications of rope and harness climbing. This Flash file included older Flash components which weren’t playing nice together. I reverse-engineered the components and put newer, kinder ones in their place to help make the navigation work properly. Also, build the cute flash pre-loader (the progress bar).

Site look created by Karen Lewis (aka 'Cordelia'). This independent documentary filmmaking company wanted to show off it’s video through a website, with a major redesign. So working within the framework of an old design, I added a flash video player with javascript to control the flash player. The page is built dynamically from a list of “active media” in a MySQL database queried from PHP. MySQL, PHP, Flash
